ACES Improvements

The ACES Student Focus Group wants to let you know about some changes that have been made to ACES for the upcoming registration period so that you will know what to expect and how to use it when you log in.

Moving classes to your bookbag has been streamlined, requiring fewer clicks.

Prerequisites and permissions required flags are now showing up for your selected courses in the bookbag display. (Video)

Validity of the permission number is checked upon entry, rather than at enrollment, and will indicate that it has been added.

The course evaluation and synopsis have been moved to the top of the course summary display.

Both the class searches now show you your schedule and bookbag while you are searching.

The class searches will now return all the courses meeting the entered requirements, not just the first three as it did before.

The ACES focus group is composed of student representatives, including students from DSG and GPSC. We have been working this year with the SISS Office and the University Registrar to improve ACES. We have focused on ways to improve navigations and the display of important data -- the recent improvements are part of this ongoing discussion. Guides on how to use ACES, and a video of permission number entry are on SISS web site.
