Questions & Answer

APPLICANTS:

Q: How do I apply for Admission to Duke or check on the status of my application?

A:
Please contact the appropriate admissions office for your desired program.

For those schools offering electronic applications, these are accessible via the school's individual web page.

STAFF:

Q: How do I access the web views for applicant information?

A:
Each school has their own web access to view applicant data. You will first need security access to Aces Web/SISS. Once you have this access you will be able to find the data by connecting to www.registrar.duke.edu and then following the Faculty and Staff Services link and then the SISS Web link. All data will be School/Program specific by admit term.

Q: What if I need to have a new school or language added to the database?

A:
Please send the request to the SISS Office representative donna.flamion@duke.edu. Once the request is received in the SISS Office the information will be verified to determine that it is not already in the database under a different spelling or name structure. If it is determined to not exist in the database, the name will be researched to verify that it is a valid name and then if so, entered into the database. The requestor will be notified once this process is complete.

Q: What if I want to load data directly into SISS/PeopleSoft via an outside vendor or tape load?

A:
All outside vendors must be approved before loading data into the system. Currently ApplyYourself is the only approved vendor allowed to enter electronic application data directly into the system. All other general application data must be entered manually. Please discuss other requests to have prospect data, test scores, or other information loaded via a tape load with the Admissions Functional Lead.
